We believe strongly that education should be fun and exciting. Since our first classes in 2002, our amazing Chess Wizards instructors have inspired thousands of students across the United States and Canada to think logically, solve problems, win graciously, and learn from defeat. Our chess academy is so successful because our approach is so unique. Whether your child is brand new to chess or a seasoned checkmate artist, our original, high-energy curriculum makes chess fun for all!

Now Available – Chess Wizards Online!

Our mission is to make learning chess fun and exciting for kids – and our classes are now available online! We’ve adapted some of our most popular activities in the physical classroom to fit the digital one. These include puzzles, tournaments, blitz games – even chess variation games! Chess Wizards Online is designed to be an enjoyable and valuable experience for our students, even after they can finally go back to their regular classes.

Not everyone has what it takes to be a Chess Wizard. Our instructors are an eclectic group from many different professions and backgrounds who demonstrate four important qualities: a love and skill for the game of chess, a great ability to communicate, a passion for teaching, and the ability to use these qualities to create a fun and challenging learning environment for our students!

My second grader loves learning new moves and working on his concentration. His involvement with Chess Wizards has been great for his confidence in his schoolwork. He always looks forward to the class and has been enjoying learning about tournament play, when you need to be silent and focus on the game. Great after school activity!

It’s fun walking by the classroom and hearing 12 children laughing and cheering and realizing it’s all because they are loving their time in chess club.
